Apu Lodge sits quietly away from the hustle and bustle, perfect for those seeking tranquility. The views of the surrounding mountains and the ruins are amazing. Enjoyed the hot water showers with strong pressure. Felt really refreshing after a day of exploring. Staff demonstrated very nice kindness, especially when they laid out an early breakfast for my Machu Picchu trek. Free WiFi was reliable, a plus. Faced a few inconveniences. My room felt a bit chilly despite the many blankets, and the bathroom got really wet after showers. The location, while fine, poses challenges with cobblestone streets was good, especially when arriving from the town square. There's no communal area for late evenings. Returning after dinner meant waiting a few minutes for the gate to be unlocked. Regardless of these points, the lodge has a calm, rustic charm was good.

Everything was well-maintained, fabulous staff, great views of the surrounding mountains. The location was pleasant, in Old Town, better than I ever had before. Moreover, it's near to that alley. The breakfast was savoury, satisfactory and I appreciated cereal and fruit.

Breakfast was a treat with fresh orange juice and made-to-order omelets that hit the spot! Plus, the lodge's surrounding gardens were fine. Just next door, I discovered Papa's Andean Fusion-what a gem for local flavors!
While Apu Lodge had its charms, the lower-level room seemed like a bit of a letdown with the noise from reception and no mountain views. It was chilly at night, and a space heater would've made all the difference. I expected more for the price, but I still enjoyed the stay overall!

Location next to many highly touted restaurants in Cusco and the services and Urubamba and Ollantaytambo. Breakfast with fresh fruits and muesli. Incredibly kind staff, very comfortable stay.

The views of the ruins and mountains captivated my heart.
Upon arriving, I was caught off guard by the challenge of navigating those cobblestone streets. My suitcase felt heavier with each step uphill, and it made the initial impression a bit stressful. I also struggled with the low ventilation in the bathroom, feel damp and uncomfortable after every use.
